Anderson Dentistry accepts cash, most credit cards, CareCrediti, and insurance plans that allow you to choose your provider. We are an out-of-network provider, but insurance benefits typically pay similar amounts compared with in-network providers.

There are a few important things to know about most dental insurance coverage.

  1. Dental insurance is considered an aid in helping you to meet costs, but will typically not cover all expenses. Also, many insurance companies do not cover routine services.
  2. Insurance companies may decline to pay a full fee because they will claim the fee is above the “usual and customary fee”. It is important to know the way insurance companies determine “usual and customary fees” is by finding an average fee for a service area, which includes discount clinics that bring the average down, and then use approximately 80% of that average to determine the “customary fee”. The treatment we provide may exceed the low insurance company standards of what is “usual and customary”.
  3. There are many tiers in any insurance plan. Insurance companies provide financial assistance according to how much is invested in them. If you receive benefits from an employer, they will determine the quality of your plan based on their allocated costs toward your particular insurance plan.

If you have any questions about paying for your dental work, we are very open and willing to talk with you, so please feel free to call us.
